Background

• Gojo Satoru was born in the Gojo clan, with the Six Eyes and the Limitless cursed technique, which is a rare occurance that only happensonce in 400 years, and was destined to be the strongest sorcerer at the time since. This tipped the power balance between the sorcerers side and the curse users and cursed spirit side, which made him a bounty target with a hundred million yens worth. [*]
• Gojo Satoru was separated with his parents at a young stage, because they can't be involved in his education as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. [*] However, he was spoiled rotten when he was a child. [*]
• He was trained to be a Jujutsu Sorcerer since he was young, but he usually skipped and escaped.[*] He also ran away from home.[*]
• He enrolled to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School as a student and became best friend with Getou Suguru. They completed missions and hang out together, sometimes with their only classmate at the time, Ieiri Shoko, or their underclassmen then, Nanami Kento and Haibara Yuu. [*]
• Ieiri Shoko has a good relationship with an upperclassman named Utahime Iori (in the manga, at this time Utahime is said to be a grade 2 sorcerer, and it was unknown if she graduated from the Tokyo or the Kyoto branch of Jujutsu High, but most sorcerers graduated from either of these schools). Utahime dislike Gojo Satoru. [*]

2006

• Satoru and Suguru argued with each other. Suguru claimed that sorcerers were born to protect non-sorcerer; and Satoru said that he dislike all that "righteous" stuff, claiming that only the weak applied "reasoning and responsibility" to jujutsu. The two was about to fight, but then their homeroom teacher, Masamichi Yaga, stepped in and gave them the mission to "escort and erase" the Star Plasma Vessel, Amanai Riko, in three days. [*]
• They both talked to each other about the mission before coming to Riko's place. There are two forces targeting Riko at the moment: the Curse User Group Q and the Time Vessel Association, since the Time Vessel Association is formed by non-sorcerers to worship Tengen's "purity". Suguru also advise Satoru to change his pronouns from "ore" to "boku to be more polite. [*]
• At the time, they also talked about Masamichi's meaning when telling them to "escort and erase" her. They think that he wanted Riko to be allowed to choose for herself to be merged with Tengen or not, so they decided to protect her choice on the matter. [*]
• They then picked up Riko at a hotel and saw that the Q had already attacked her. They successfully rescued the girl and her maid, Kuroi. [*]
• They first planned to head to Tokyo Jujutsu High for safety; however, Riko wanted to go to school, so they followed and protect her, although Riko didn't let them in with her because of her embarassment. Satoru protested this, but Suguru told him that, "She was saying all that stuff... but the truth is after the merger, she'll be down below Jujutsu High with Master Tengen tp form the barrier. Friends, family, and everything she hold dear... she'll be no longer be able to see them. Let her enjoy herself. That's our mission. [*]"
• Afterwards, Suguru felt one of his monitoring curses being killed, which meant that there were curse users looking for Riko. They splited up: Satoru finding Riko while Suguru took care of the curse users. Suguru took down one, and Satoru took down another while taking Riko with him easily. The three then discovered that Riko's head had become a bounty reward in the curse users' black web.[*]
• Kuroi was kidnapped when the duo was gone. They then went to Okinawa and rescue the maid per Riko's request.[*]
• On the second day of the mission, when they came to a beach in Okinawa after Kuroi was rescued, Suguru noticed that Satoru had been using Six Eyes' power since the day before. Satoru reassured him that "I'm good, man. I think playing 99 years of "Momotaro Densetsu" was harder. Besides, you are here too."[*]
• On their third day, upon arrived at Tomb of the Star for the merge, they were ambushed by Fushiguro Toji. Satoru was stabbed first, and Suguru was about to help him when he reassured his best friend that he was okay, and urged Suguru to take Riko to Tengen's place. Suguru, despite his worries, agreed.[*]
• Satoru was almost dead under Toji's hands, while Riko was taken to near the inner part of Tomb of the Star. Riko confessed that she didn't want to merge, and Suguru told her about the duo's decision. Riko was moved by that; but when she was about to take Suguru's hand, Toji shot her on the head. Suguru was shocked and then furious when Toji said that he killed Satoru.[*] Toji defeated Suguru but didn't kill him because he didn't know what would happen to the curses he collected after his death. [*]
• Satoru figured out Reversal Cursed Technique and came found and killed Toji at the headquarter of the Time Vessel Association. Before his death, Toji told Satoru that his kid, Megumi would be sold to the Zen'in in two or three years and he can do as he please about the information.[*]
• Suguru, after receiving treatment from Shoko, came to the Time Vessel Association's headquarter, where he met Toji's curse carrying his cursed weapons calling him "mama".[*]
• When he opened the door to get inside, Suguru saw Satoru holding Riko's corspe among the Time Vessel Association's members clapping. Satoru asked Suguru, "Do you want to kill them all? The me right now probaly wouldn't feel anything." (He totally relied in Suguru as his moral compass in this moment[*]) Suguru replied him that it's pointless. Satoru told him that did there need to be a reason; and to which Suguru replied, or course, and it's important for jujutsu sorcerers.[*]

2007

• After Riko's case, Satoru, having awakened, worked on his technique to become stronger. Suguru, on the other hand, felt tired and doubted his ideals. He met Haibara before his mission far away and asked him if he could bring some souvenir back. Haibara agreed, asked if Suguru wanted sweet or savory treat, to which he replied: "Satoru will probaly have some too, so maybe something sweet."[*]
• Suguru asked Haibara if he was okay with being a jujutsu sorcerer; and Haibara answered him that it is a good question, and since he wasn't the type to think too hard about things, so giving his all toward something he knows he can help with is a great feeling. That was when he met the other special grade, Tsukumo Yuki, when she came to Tokyo Jujutsu High for them.[*]
• When Haibara said that he is a good judge of character, Suguru asked him if his present company (himself) is included, and the underclassman, didn't really get his intention, said yes.[*]
• Yuki shared that she and Jujutsu High didn't see eye to eye, they only wanted to treat the symptoms while she wanted to get at the root cause, and she wanted a world where curses didn't exist. She explained that there are two ways to create such a world: eradicate cursed energy from all humanity or teach them how to control their cursed energy. She also said that her case model for the first idea was Zen'in Toji, but he blew her off and he died, so she was thinking about the second idea, since jujutsu sorcerers, excluding those who turned to curses after their death, didn't give birth to curse.[*]
• From this, Suguru thought of the idea to kill all non-sorcerers, to which Yuki replied that is the easiest route, but she wasn't that crazy. She asked him if he hated non-sorcerer, and Suguru told her, "I used to think jujutsu sorcerers exist to protect non-sorcerers. But recently, I've been doubting whether non-sorcerers are worth fighting for."[*]
• Suguru also shared: "The preciousness of the weak, the ugliness of the weak, I can no longer tell the difference between the two or accept it. The part of me that look down toward non-socerers... the part of me that tries to resist that feeling... if being a jujutsu sorcerer is like running a marathon, then the finish line is much too unclear. I don't know which are my true feelings." [*]
• Yuki answered him that neither is, and he hadn't reached that stage yet. She also said that looking down on non-sorcerers or resisting that feeling are just the posibilities that he thought of, and he still had to decide whatever his true feeling is. Before she left, she said that them special grades should get along; and Suguru shouldn't worry about what happened with the Star Plasma Vessel, since whether there was another vessel or another vessel was born, whatever the case, Tengen is stablized.[*]
• Later on, Haibara died on a mission with Nanami, killed by a supposed-to-be grade 2 that was actually a local deity which should have been a grade 1 at least. While Satoru took on the mission, Suguru was in the morgue with Nanami, and Nanami, in his rage, said that why not just let Satoru take care of everything by himself from now on; which made Suguru thought, "If being a jujutsu sorcerer is like running a marathon, what if at the end of that road, is a mountain of our fellow sorcerers' dead corpses?"[*]
• The last straw was a mission in a rural village in September, where after exorcise the curse haunting the village, Suguru was led to "the cause of the curse": a pair of sorcerer twins, named Nanako and Mimiko Hasaba, beaten up and caged. He then murdered everyone in the village, saved the twins and fled away.[*]
• Five days later, the Higher-ups issued a new order: "In accordance to Article 9 of the Jujutsu Regulation, he (Suguru) is now considered a curse user and subject to execution."[*]
• Satoru, upon hearing the news, was shocked and argued to Yaga delivering it to him that there is no way it was like that. Seeing Yaga also in concern and disbelief, he balled his hand into a fist so tight that he bled.[*]
• Shoko met Suguru in a smoking area of Omoide Yokochō, offering a light to her. She asked him what did he want, and Suguru answered that he wanted to test his luck. She also asked if the accusations agaisnt him was false, to which Suguru denied. He also answered to her question why that he would create a world with only jujutsu sorcerers, and to another question on what did it mean that he wasn't a child anymore so he didn't need anyone understanding him. Shoko then quipped: "Sulking because no one understand you sounds pretty childish to me," then called Satoru.[*]
• Satoru teleported to Shinjuku to find Suguru near a KFC. Satoru asked for an explaination, and Suguru answered him that if he had heard from Shoko then that's all there was to it. He also said that his parents couldn't be an exception, and that what he did has a point and a meaning to it. When Satoru argued back, Suguru answered: "How arrogant. You could do it, Satoru. You're trying to convince me that it was impossible when you yourself could do it. Are you the strongest because you're Gojo Satoru? Or are you Gojo Satoru because you are the strongest? If I could be you, wouldn't my ideal become possible? This is the live I've chosen. All I can do now is give it all I got."[*]
• Right after Suguru finished, Satoru was about to kill his best friend with Hollow Purple, but the black-haired said: "If you want to kill me, kill me. There's a meaning in that too." Satoru let his hand form go at that, curled them into fists.[*]
• Afterwards, Yaga found Satoru sitting in a stair step. He asked Satoru why did he let Suguru go, and Satoru questioned him that were he really asking him that, to which he apologised. Satoru asked if he was strong, and Yaga agreed, said he was also in the impudence department. Satoru then replied: "But... it looks like just me being strong isn't enough. I can only save those who are prepare to be saved."[*]
• A while after, Suguru killed the head of Time Vessel Association and take over the cult with the help of Kong Shiu. Satoru found and met Fushiguro Megumi and took him and his step-sister, Fushiguro Tsumiki, under his wing.[*]
